OpenAI Introduces GPT-4V and Enhanced ChatGPT System

OpenAI has taken the stage in the AI sector with the introduction of GPT-4V, a vision-oriented model, along with new multimodal conversational capabilities for its renowned system, ChatGPT. Unveiled on Sept. 25th, these enhancements offer ChatGPT users improved engagement via conversational interactions.

Based on OpenAI’s previous models, GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, ChatGPT can now comprehend queries framed in simple spoken language and offer responses in a selection of five unique voices.

In a recent blog post posted by OpenAI, it is revealed that these multimodal interface capabilities will empower users to communicate with ChatGPT in a variety of fascinating ways.

ChatGPT Upgrade Plan

The improved version of ChatGPT will be progressively available to Plus and Enterprise users on mobile platforms over the upcoming weeks. Developers will be able to access these options soon after the initial release for the user-base.

This substantial upgrade of ChatGPT occurs right after the unveiling of the advanced image generation system - DALL-E 3 from OpenAI.

Feature of DALL-E 3 and OpenAI's partnership with Anthropic

As indicated by OpenAI, DALL-E 3 incorporates natural language processing. This addition allows consumers to communicate their requirements to the model to refine output and leverage ChatGPT for assistance in generating image prompts.

In other AI news, OpenAI’s contender, Anthropic, unveiled its alliance with Amazon on Sept. 25th. Amazon plans to pour in up to $4 billion to further cloud services and gain access to hardware. In exchange, Anthropic aims to fortify the foundational AI model of Amazon - Bedrock, with increased support along with offering “secure model customization and fine-tuning for businesses.”
